Dr. Changfa Xia is an associate researcher at the National Cancer Center (NCC)/Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CHCAMS). His areas of interest are the cancer screening implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, health technology assessment, and cancer epidemiology.
He has received training in cancer registration at the National Office for Cancer Prevention and Control/ National Central Cancer Registry, and training in modeling studies for cervical cancer elimination at the Department of Epidemiology in the CHCAMS. After graduating from the Peking Union Medical College in 2021, he joined the Office of Cancer Screening at the NCC.
He received the President’s Award of Peking Union Medical College in 2021, and was selected for the “Youth Talent Program of the Science and Technology Think Tank” in 2024. His selected works have been published in journals such as Lancet Public Health (2 papers), Lancet Global Health, Lancet Regional Health, Nature Cancer, IJC, and CMJ. He serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Epidemiology and as a reviewer for 28 journals.
