Dr. Gao-Jun Teng, Professor of Radiology, is the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is the President of Zhongda Hospital, Southeast University, Nanjing. He has served the President of Chinese College of Interventionalists, the largest and most important national interventional radiology society since 2017. His main research areas are interventional radiology and molecular imaging. Dr. Teng has invented various new devices, and new technologies for interventional radiology, and developed a variety of interventional and minimally invasive technologies, many of which have been transformed into clinical practice. Prof. Teng has published more than 300 peer-reviewed papers in internationally journals spanning across various fields of oncology, radiology, neuroscience, surgery, biomaterial, AI and robotics, etc.
Prof. Teng was awarded the Distinguished Fellow of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), and the Gold Medal-the highest honor by US Society for Interventional Radiology (SIR). He is the founder Editor-in-Chief of EngMedicine, founder President of International Multidisciplinary and Interventional Oncology (ISMIO), and advisory board member of Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology, etc.
