Dr. He-Feng Huang is an Academician of the Chinese National Academy of Sciences, a member of the World Academy of Sciences, a Fellow Honoris Causa of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of the UK, and a member of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. She is Dean of Zhejiang University School of Medicine; Director, Institute of Reproduction and Development at Fudan University; She is also Director of the State Key Laboratory in Reproductive Genetics supported by the Ministry of Education. Her lab works on female reproduction and the embryonic origin of health and disease. She has published >350 papers, many of which appeared in high-impact journals including Lancet, Nature, Nature Medicine, and PNAS. As leading physician, she succeeded in selecting lower breast cancer risk embryos for a woman from a BRCA1 gene carrier family by using preimplantation genetic testing for polygenic disorders (PGT-P). Dr Huang has received numerous awards, including the National Award for the Advancement of Science and Technology that she received in 2010 and 2021, respectively and 2023 Fuller W. Bazer SSR International Scientist Award.
