Zhihua Liu, National Cancer Center, Beijing, China
Dr. Liu obtained her Ph.D. in Biology from Peking University (1993) and finished post-doctoral studies in Washington State University. She joined the State Key Lab of Molecular Oncology, National Cancer Center/Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences since 1997, and currently she is a professor and director of the State Key Lab of Molecular Oncology, the vice present of National Cancer Center and the vice president of Cancer Hospital CAMS. Dr. Liu’s research focuses on the molecular mechanism of esophageal cancer development as well as the translational study. The long term goal is to understand the molecular mechanism of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and develop new intervention strategies, find biomarkers for early detection, and build the clinically-relevant molecular classification for precision medicine of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
