Ming Kuang, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), China
As a doctor, Prof. Kuang majors in minimally invasive treatments for liver cancer, biliary tract cancer and pancreatic cancer, such as laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, image-guided tumor ablation. He is interested in the mechanism, prevention and treatment of liver cancer recurrence and metastases, and precision cancer research including immunotherapy. He has published more than 100 original articles on Cancer cell, J Clin Oncol, Mol Cell, Ann Oncol, Hepatology, and Clin Cancer Res in recent years. He has achieved 10 major grants from the government, including National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China in 2018, the most important grant for Chinese physicians. And he was honored with 2019 Guangdong Province Medical Science Awards 1st prize for his contribution in precise ablation against liver cancer metastasis and recurrence. He is faculty of ECIO and APCIO since 2009, and chairman or vice chairman of many medical associations in China. Prof. Kuang was awarded “Distinguished Achievement Award” in Asian Conference on Tumor Ablation (ACTA) 2017.
