Louise Baur is the Chair of Child and Adolescent Health at The University of Sydney and is a consultant paediatrician in Weight Management Services at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. She is also President (2022-2024) of the World Obesity Federation.
Louise has made research contributions in the prevention, complications, management and health services aspects of child and adolescent obesity. She is Director of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in the Early Prevention Obesity in Childhood (www.earlychildhoodobesity.com).
Louise is a Member of the Order of Australia and is a Founding Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.
