Claire Chaumont, World Health Organization

Claire Chaumont

Dr. Claire Chaumont is a global health systems and policy expert, currently working with the World Health Organization to spearhead its Triple Billion targets, WHO's new strategy to improve the health of billions by 2025. As part of the new Department of Delivery for Impact, she strives to increase WHO's impact at country level, through a sustained focus on results, priority-setting, implementation and delivery. As such, she works with technical teams across all organizational levels to address factors influencing health, such as water and sanitation, air quality, and nutrition, including WHO’s new Acceleration Plan on Obesity.

Over the course of her career, Claire has worked extensively on strategic planning, translating evidence into policy, resource allocation and service delivery across more than fifteen countries. Her technical areas of expertise include health systems strengthening and financing, HIV/AIDS, neglected tropical diseases and determinants of health.

A Fulbright Scholar, Claire received her Doctorate in public health from Harvard University, a Master in health policy planning and financing from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Master in international business from Sciences Po Paris.
