Oliwia Kaczmarek is a diabetes advocate and Young Leader at the Polish Diabetes Association. Living with insulin resistance herself, she is actively involved in supporting people living with type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance through education, awareness-raising and community engagement. She is also a member of the T2gether Community, an initiative of IDF Europe dedicated to strengthening the voice of people living with type 2 diabetes across Europe.

Since 2017, Oliwia has been engaged in patient advocacy, organizing educational events and conferences, leading community initiatives, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and partner organizations. She has represented Poland at international events, promoting patient engagement and the inclusion of lived experience in diabetes care.

Alongside her advocacy work, Oliwia has a professional background in hospitality management, sales, and event organization, bringing extensive experience in communication, stakeholder engagement and project coordination. She is passionate about improving access to education, reducing stigma around type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, and ensuring that the perspectives of people with lived experience are reflected in healthcare policy and practice.
