Advisory Board

Amanda Adler is Professor of Diabetic Medicine and Health Policy at the University of Oxford. She chairs UK’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funding committee for Health Technology Assessment Clinical Evaluation and Trials. She is a Commissioner on the UK Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) and chairs its Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Renal, Respiratory and Allergy Expert Advisory Group. At the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), she chaired a Technology Appraisal Committee for 12 years making decisions across disease areas for drugs, devices and other interventions. She chaired the World Health Organisation’s Diabetes TAG (Technical Advisory Group) on which she continues to serve. She is a physician at Cambridge University Hospital Foundation Trust and Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
