Dr. Tang received her Medical Degree in 2009 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SJTU), received her PhD of Medicine in Nuclear Medicine and Metabolism in 2015 from a Graduate Partnership Program between NIH of US and SJTU. After that, she completed postdoctoral training in NIH and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School (2015-2020). Meanwhile, she received her Master Degree of Health Science in Clinical Research from Duke University School of Medicine in 2018. After being fully equipped for translational research, she started independent academic career as a Principal Investigator and Physician-Scientist in Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center from Sep 2020.

Dr. Tang's research focuses on Cancer Adaptation and Nuclear Medicine. Using isotope labeling methods together with multi-pronged approaches in molecular cell biology, Dr. Tang's group aim to understand mechanisms regulating cancer adaptation to environment, and translate the knowledge for precise cancer management by integrating with molecular imaging and radionuclide therapy. So far, her representative academic achievements have been published in top journals such as Molecular cell (2014), EMBO Journal (2017), Molecular cell (2018), Cell Metabolism (2020), Journal of Clinical Investigation (2024), Advanced Science (2024), Cancer Discovery (2026).  She was selected for NIH Women Scientist Advisors (WSA) Award, Helen Fellow Award by Gurley Brown Presidential Initiative, and Shanghai Science and Technology 35 Leaders Under 35.
