Huafeng Wang MD, PhD is Associate Professor, Associate Chief Physician and  PhD Supervisor; Director, Leukemia Subspecialty Program at Department of Hematology, The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine.

Dr. Wang received advanced international training as a postdoctoral fellow at City of Hope National Medical Center in the United States, and as a visiting scholar at Brown University and Royal Free Hospital in the United Kingdom. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on leukemogenesis, drug resistance, molecular risk stratification, precision diagnosis, targeted therapy, and novel therapeutic development for acute leukemia.

Dr. Wang has established one of the largest acute leukemia clinical sample repositories in China, comprising more than 10,000 clinical samples and a multi-omics database of over 2,000 cases, and has led and involved in 17 investigator-initiated clinical studies. The related research findings have been translated into clinical practice across more than 50 tertiary hospitals in 16 provinces in China.

Dr. Wang has published 58 SCI-indexed papers, including 26 as first author, co-first author, or corresponding author, in journals such as Lancet Haematology, Leukemia, Cell Reports Medicine, and Advanced Science. These studies have been cited more than 1,800 times and incorporated into Chinese guidelines and international recommendations.

Dr. Wang has been invited to deliver oral and thematic presentations at major international congresses, including ASH, ASCO and EHA. She has received the ASH Abstract Achievement Award six times. Dr. Wang serves as a Standing Committee Member of the CSCO Leukemia Expert Committee, a member of the Leukemia Group of the Chinese Society of Hematology, a steering committee member of the JAPAC AML Expert Forum, and a reviewer for journals including The Lancet, Lancet Haematology, and Leukemia. Dr. Wang also serves as an editorial board member of Cell Investigation.
